Last February 25 I gave my first technical webinar about technology. I’ve spoken in the past in lunch and learn events at work but never thought about speaking to a bigger audience of people I don’t know. One of the greatest things about the SQL community is that you get to meet awesome people like Gilda Alvarez and Elena López who either push you to speak or enable you to do so. This was my first time doing a live demo about Azure a Database Deployments using Azure DevOps and on my native language, Spanish. Gotta say, the amount of learning I accomplish by just preparing the material is great and the experience of watching people get excited about the topic been discussed was fenomenal. About 65 people attended the webinar and some of them reach out via LinkedIn or the Facebook Group Aprendiendo BD con SQL Server to show me their freshly created pipelines they made using the tutorial, IT FEELS GREAT!

What’s Next?

Well since already broke the ice, I then submitted to speak at SQL Saturday Raleigh which is pending approval and also submitted to speak at the virtual chapter for Guatemala PASS SQL Sever group. Also I’m working on making this blog bilingual to be able to bring content to my Latinos in Data.
